ENTHRALLED - Diminish MC (Black Metal)
OK, why do I keep on reviewing such a style like this?! First, I don’t like it and there is really no possibility for me to like it someday. I’ve never been a fan of such genre eversince it surfaced the underground. Now, it seems that in every bunch of materials I am preparing for review, I always received things like this. So right now we have this one man band, this time from the US, only this time it is even worst.

MOONSPELL - Under Satanae CD (Black Metal)
These re-recorded tracks just shows that Moonspell wimped out! I mean these two early releases showcases the band’s originality (oh yes, they’ve been always “original” after all these years but not like these two). So right in this “Compilation CD”, we can hear tracks written by the un-adulterated Moonspell back in the early 90s, and trust me, even Irreligious will not come close to this stuff! I certainly believe that fans of the later Moonspell will still adore this release. It’s just good stuff, but I’m afraid it might be one of the upcoming trends to come: “bigger bands who’s been selling out will go back re-recording their demos - now with an excellent digital production”, heh. Yeah, I like hearing “Satanas Tedeum”, “Skullfucking Armageddon” or “Macabre Sunsets” being re-done too! -

TOXIC HOLOCAUST - Power from Hell 7″ (Thrash Metal)
Toxic Holocaust is a one man band created by a guy who named himself as Joel Grind. However, don’t expect some lifeless drum machine in this act but real acoustic drums being battered in this hell of a sound. Not that I never like bands using drum machines but at least I prefer those with the real thing. The way we knew it already, and to those who doesn’t, Toxic Holocaust plays Black/Thrash Metal heavily inspired by the 80s. The song here is pretty “rock n roll”-ish if you ask me. I did say song, since there’s only one track here that really belongs to this band which is called “Ready to Fight”. The next track is a cover from Onslaught. Of course, “Power from Hell”.

ENTHRONED - Tetra Karcist CD (Black Metal)
The new line up of this band never fails to continue doing the thing once started by the original members. Yes, there are no more original members left in this band. Still, nothing to worry since the new people being involved in the continuation of this band has no plan of polluting the music that Enthroned once created. I’ve always enjoyed the older releases but upon hearing this one, I can say that nothing’s been changed. Even getting better this time! Really crushing guitars and great drumming awaits you in this hell of a record. Although there is really nothing new going on around here. If you’re sick and tired of all the sloppy garbage being released nowadays, then check this one out.
