The first formation of the band was from three people Kiky, Yusuf and Rony was recruiting a new boss player and met Gatrik in one of Jayabaya University about in year of 1997. We thought that the formation is complete, hang around always and jamming. But its only just a session, at that time we haven't know much about black metal, because by hearing other genres of underground and each one at us were still busy. A few month later between two until four month, we decided to form a band, given a name and the genre of underground music that we decided to choose. In 1998 we decided to name our band barzakh, the style of our music we choose is black metal. We decided and always hear black metal. We made a logo for the band the style of our logo was made by Gatrik and Kiky. 29 maret 1998 our first journey, we are not satisfied to play black metal than we try to recruit a keyboard player in august 1998. We add Ally : keyboard for almost a year with us 24 september 1999, Yusuf Ally decided to leave the band, was replaced by Renno : guitar and we record a promo tape untitled Ritual Of Darkness. Other that Kiky left 26 may 2001, Leon join as a vocalist supporting Yudi and Andi as guitarist supporting Reno, the frequent change of members doesn't change our attitude to record cassette and cd albums from the devil to sin, for two months, 17 june 2001 Leon was left. For a long time together 25 july 2002 Rony left. Yudi also consentrated on college. Andy become a vocalist and Adev on drums, not long after 26 oktober 2002 Yudi left the band. 31 oktober 2002 Andy also left. For one month 20 november 2002 Rizal on guitar supporting Reno. 23 january 2003 Agni on vocals and Willy keyboard to record our second album entitled Heart Holy In Hypocrite. 10 may 2004 Rizal and Willy left the band just session musicians.2006 Adev was out from band. Absolute Defiance was formed in February 1998 in Jakarta, Indonesia under the name of Vile by Bimo (bass), along with Ade (guitar), Anto (drums) and Dedi (vocals). After playing one gig, Dedi left the band and got replaced by Sapto (ex-Sadistis). At that time they used to cover some of their favorite songs from bands like Deeds of Flesh, Dying Fetus and Cryptopsy. Later, after some internal problems a new inception of the band began when Ghebes (drums) and Edwin (bass) joined the band. They composed and intensively rehearsed several new songs and got signed for a tape release with Dementia records (Jakarta), which they recorded in September 1999. The music was brutal death metal and the lyrics dealt with social phenomena such as people suffering under the military atrocities, genocides, massacres and tyranny. The great feedback of the tape took the band to the next level within the local and even international underground scene. Finally, they found a new vocalist named Fahmi (ex-bassist of Impious from Indonesia) late January 2000. With this line-up, Vile performed numerous gigs. The also featured on numerous compilations and got interviewed by a lot of fanzine and webzines. After a full year of musical activities, Ghebes (drums) decided to retire in early 2001. He got replaced by Andyan (Siksakubur). In August 2001, Fahmi got replaced by Nino (Trauma).

Their music slips most comfortably into the thrash-metal genre. Music-wise Sceptre are an angry bunch and their lyrics are a dead giveaway. There’s angst and there’s aggression, there’s rebellion and there’s revolution. Disillusionment giving way to verbal attack, all a backlash at the cesspool that is "the system"! OR To put it plainly, its Teemeer, writing (read ranting) about all the dirt under the carpet. Very punk-ish themes combined with super-fast riffs. This might be one of the reasons why they warm up to the metal-loving crowds instantly. The Single "Lost Empire" was featured on the Deep Throat CD released by Throatlatch records. Another single "Nuclear" was on the FOK album a compilation of songs by Mumbai bands by Hangar Records. "Revolution" was featured on FOK-3 by Hangar Records. Their hot sellin self-titled EP containing 4 songs has made an impact on the underground rock scene and currently the band is workin on new original material for their forthcomin album.

Fate, formed in November 1999, is an underground black metal band from Mumbai. Fate consists of Roshan on vocals and bass, Nitin on Guitars & Hitesh on drums. Fate was formed after Roshan and Hitesh left Morticide in '99. The name FATE is derived from the “best of” album by DEATH. Fate is a tribute to all the musicians who have been a part of this amazing band. (Gene Hoglan, Steve digiorgio, James Murphy and Chuck Schuldiner and the rest…) Replete with twin guitar attack, the original line up of Fate saw Amar and Edwin sharing the guitar-works. Things didn't work out the way it was wished. Edwin quit during the early stages and from there on Fate decided to stick together as a trio. Nothing concrete ever came out of this trio either. In the end it was decided rope-in Nitin from Morticide. It was back to square one, from where they had once started as Morticide.

Formed in 1993, with the sole reason of total & complete domination of the rock/metal genre, Brahma has proved to the world that they are truly “The Gods Of Metal”. These mean poster boys of Metal have dominated the Indian metal scene for just over a decade. They started their career just as any other bands playing the circuit just about everywhere people were willing to have them. But within the year the audiences moved them up in their minds & pushed them straight into the serious rockers category. That moved them apart from all other bands at that time was the sheer stage presence these guys commanded as a band. Watching them was sheer pleasure for the rockers. Devraj with his hugely powerful voice and the hypnotic command over his audiences, Cyrus with his rapid fire double bass drumming, to John with his mean & menacing guitar licks & Vince with his sheer ability to headbang & play for hours nonstop. This set them apart from the rest of the clan very early in their career.
